Bronze Antique European Cannon with Ships Carriage!
(please allow
time for all the images to load)
Item Location: Manila, Philippines
PLEASE NOTE THAT
THIS ITEM IS AN ANTIQUE AND SHOULD NOT BE FIRED DUE TO ITS OLD AGE!!
This
rare and large 18th Century (over
250-years-old) Bronze Antique
European Cannon is intricately
carved and has an unidentified CROWN shape on the top of its first
reinforcing area. A cannon of
this
size and quality is uncommon and quite difficult to find for sale in
this day and age. There is only slight damage at the touch-hole area
but this was probably due to a sea battle - it adds character to this
item! Otherwise this item is in excellent
condition.
The Ships Cannon Carriage is based on 1750's Cannon Carriage Design -
all the way down to the brass hardware. It is made of the hardest wood
- Kamagong - which is exactly the same hardness and strength as
Mahogany wood.
It would be a GREAT DISPLAY,
DECORATION and CONVERSATION piece for any; home, office, store,
museum, etc!
During its hayday this gun fired a 2 pound Iron Cannon Ball (or slighty
lighter
Stone Cannon Ball)!
Below see the photos & details of this cannon.
PRICED LOW FOR FAST SALE!!!! A cannon
of this caliber with an expertly hand-made sea carriage is not easy to
locate these days!
